History On Caves

Touring spectacular network of caves that contains layers of limestone in
this part of the region has eroded through the course of time, leaving
magnificent geological formations below the surface. The cave tours will
be done at Caves Branch. Caves branch is one of the oldest caves that
were formed thousands of years ago. It was utilized for
hundred of years between the 300 and 900 A.D for a number of Maya
beliefs and tradition. Such as it represented an entrance to the underworld,
as the residence of many powerful gods, places of death, creation and
more. This cave consists of four passages that connect a series Karst
windows. Many caves formations in instilled inside such as stalagmites,
stalactites and more.
History on Belize Zoo

The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center was started in 1983 in an
effort to provide a home for a collection of wild animals. It was later formed
to a Dynamic wildlife education center to help promote Belize's unknown
wildlife to its people. The Belize Zoo, "walk through" sits on 29 acres of
land and has an exhibition of over 125 native animals. In order for us to
understand more why we should protect natural habitats a visit to the Zoo
is a great start. Some animals included are jaguar, jaguarondi, ocelot,
margay, puma, tapir "Mountain Cow", and peccaries, Howler monkeys and
more.
Zipline

The Belize Zip Line is a first class high Adventure Trip for adrenaline
junkies and thrill seekers in the heart of the Belizean Wilderness.The Zip
Line involves traversing from Tree Platform to Tree Platform, 80' above the
Forest Floor dangling only from a steel cable. 8 Platforms make up the
Guided Tour, which is available from our Private Jungle Lodge or from
Belize City.Upon arrival you will be given a safety briefing and then
outfitted in the safety equipment of Body Harness, Helmet and Gloves. A
short Jungle Hike to the first platform ensues before heading into the
Jungle Canopy to start this wild adventure. After the 8 platforms have been
completed you will repel to the ground, completing an exhilarating
adventure Tour in Belize.
Tour

A thrilling experience awaits those who take this tour. First a boat will take
you to Belize City where you will then take a bus for a short ride beyond
the city to the jungle. Walking through the jungle, your guide will lecture
about the native flora and fauna. To prepare for your excursion you will
need to change into a pair of water shoes, old running shoes or strap on
sandals. You will also be issued an inner tube that you will carry with you
to the cave and river entrance. You will then have a relaxing ride
downstream, as your personal inner tube floats you towards Belize's
massive underground cave system. Your headlight will illuminate the
spectacular caves and fantastic stalactites and stalagmites. Later, you will
enjoy a local lunch before heading to the Belize Zoo. Here you will view at
many of the native animals of Belize in natural style enclosures, including
jaguar, puma, tapir, caotamundi, howler, monkeys and a wide variety of
birds.

Trip leaves 7:00 a.m. and returns 5:30 p.m.
Includes lite breakfast & lunch.
